my hostess with the mostest;
lois (aka: my buddy john's mum)

if you look closely you can see caesar,
the sometimes lovable chiuaua from hell.
his mama, the infamous recluse poco,
was in the closet and therefore unavailable for her close up.

during my stay i refrained from bathing as well as smoking.
you can do that out there.

sometimes i hid in the woods and strummed a little guitar, most zen.

chillin' all by myself, i was still a wee bit nervous
about the improbable bears and wolves.

i eventually pulled it together and then promptly got lost in the woods

great place to get lost....

back on the ranch, the garden and house require much work.
and so lois puts any available bodies to work in exchange
for laid back good times and some of the tastiest tomatoes in the world.

a heck of a job but he got em ship shape in no time.

digging out a spot for a pond is no light work lemme tell ya....

worked on evening out my tan while heaving dirt back and forth.
multitasking at its best.

lois continued to work long after i had hit the couch...

never too busy for a little fishing under the bridge....

this lovely flower only stank at night time....coolio....

speaking of night time, this skunk snuck up on us while
we were waiting to see the international space station go by overhead.
found him dead the next morning.
moral of the story? dont mess with us, eh.

my ride is here and its time to go home,
pack up your happy dogs and move along

back soon to help with the yard sale. and scoop more herbs from the garden.

took the alternate highway home, scenic route to be sure.
and a pit stop for fries unt gravy is a must.

nearby port hope has a stunning shoreline that could have
passed for the ocean that day....

the water was warm.....and i was happy....
without a smoke even, go figure.

and so, i've said it before and i'll say it again....
